Here's the Deal: Week of April 4th

by Sonny Holmes on April 05, 2021

Crossroads Church family---

Easter 2021 was such a blessed experience. Thank you to our church staff and the many
volunteers whose time, talents, gifts, and energy were so significant in our worship and study
experiences. Baptizing eleven believers Sunday morning was certainly a highlight of our Easter
worship service. Thank you all!
So, I’ll be returning to Promised Land Ahead, our study of Deuteronomy this Sunday. Our
text this week will center on Deuteronomy 4: 35-40 in a message titled Knowing. That sermon
title ought to ring our bell because it touches our church mission statement so closely---to
know Christ and make Him known together. God had given this land to Abraham and the
generations that came after him. Still, they had not actually occupied the land flowing with milk
and honey. After four-hundred and thirty years in Egyptian captivity and forty years wandering
in the wilderness they still had not grasped the central truth about genuinely knowing him. It
may be a fresh word for Christ’s church today. Maybe for us as well. Please come Sunday with
this text in your heart and prayers.
Our elders will be meeting Sunday after services to pray and deliberate our mission over
the next few months. Please give us your prayers as well so we can be of one heart and mind in
the months ahead. Also, please keep your Pastor Search Team in your constant prayers. They
will guide us in the important work of choosing a new spiritual leader. Pray for them with great
urgency.

Serving you is a blessing. Thank you.

Have a blessed week---
Sonny Holmes, Interim Pastor
