Blessings Crossroads family,
Turning the calendar to March was somewhat of a wake-up call. Beginning the third month of 2021 reminds me of the consistent Bible instruction about the brevity of human life and the velocity that defines it. King David’s counsel is very real and should be in the backdrop of life at every turn---So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12, ESV). And, yes, a heart of wisdom is God’s provision for the realities of life at every age.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as we move forward in our assignment together. Please continue to lift our church staff and elders in your daily prayers. Right now our elders are experiencing a church revitalization process that is examining who we are, the specifics of our community, and how we can influence that community spiritually. It is a process that challenges us. Please pray and we continue.
Also, keep our Pastor Search Team in your prayers. We will have our first team meeting this coming Sunday after morning worship. Theirs is a thrilling, but challenging assignment, following God’s leadership to our next lead pastor. Please pray that God will continue to provide them with wisdom and insight as we meet Sunday and launch this important search. They are Ann Almers, Steven Brice-Nash, Pat Carter, Scott Courtney, Abby Brice-Nash, Rochelle Saxon, and Gary Weber.
Severing with you is a blessing. Thank you for the privilege. I am encouraged by the positive spirit that is in the church family, your very consistent support for the ministry of Crossroads Community Church, and the influence CCC will have on Summerville and the world in the months to come.
Know my gratitude---
Sonny Holmes, Interim Pastor
