Crossroads Church family,
Let me once again thank you for your many expressions of kindness and patience as Harriet and I have dealt with the Covid-19 virus and several other associated health issues. Your cards and well-wishes have been so encouraging, rich blessings every day. Our church staff and elders have insured bold mission in these challenging days. As Joey Baham mentioned last Sunday, your commitment and faithfulness to the mission of Crossroads Community Church is inspiring. “To know Christ and make Him known together” keeps us focused on the world-wide influence he has assigned to us. Thank you for pursuing that your pursuit of that mission.
Our elders will announce the selection of a Pastor Search Team in the next week or so. This has been an assignment they have saturated with concerted prayer and deliberation. After the committee is announced, they will be trained and the process of Pastor Search will be reviewed and explained to the entire congregation. You can begin even now to pray for God’s guidance and direction as they receive candidate information and begin their contemplation. I am very confident God has prepared the next Pastor of Crossroads Community Church. What a thrilling future He has for His church.
Every day I am thankful for the privilege of serving you. Finally being in worship and Bible study with you this coming week is the fulfillment of many prayers over the past month. My prayer for this week is Philippians 3: 13-16, ESV---
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. 16 Only let us hold true to what we have attained.
