Here’s the Deal… Week of November 16, 2020
Blessings Crossroads Family---
Being a delivery point for Operation Christmas Child provides an even larger vision of this wonderful mission. Going to the Gym this morning I was able to visualize the 436 boxes our church members have brought to the 2020 effort so far, but also those brought to us from so many other church ministries in the area. Watching them grow is an indication for the mission spirit that defines us. Even more, knowing that the number will multiply before our November 24 deadline multiplies the joy as well. Thank you for your generous spirit!
These next weeks my Sunday teaching will concentrate on the ways gratitude changes our self-centered ways, and then, entering December, the glorious way angels prepared our world for the birth of Jesus. These holidays celebrate God’s glorious provision of our many blessings and the birth of the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ our Lord. Please make note of several schedule changes in December, especially the December 24, Christmas Eve service, and the schedule alteration on December 27. I pray our seasonal services will be a special blessing to us all.
Let me also announce and encourage your attendance to a brief Family Meeting on Sunday, December 13, 2020, immediately following our morning worship service. This will be an occasion for me to bring you all up to date on several church matters. There will be no official church business but rather information sharing about church life and ministry approaching the New Year.
Your giving continues to provide resources for our mission. Thank you for being aware of the unique needs of the season and for modeling such biblical stewardship throughout the year. Happy thanksgiving. Be safe and give me the joy of seeing you as we celebrate the seasons together.
