Here's the Deal: Week of May 31

Crossroads family!

Blessings! Worshiping the Father with you continues to be a joyful blessing. Thank you for sharing our moments of praise and worship and being so attentive to God’s Word each week.  Whether you are present in the worship center or attending the live stream service just knowing that we’ve gathered in His name celebrates our union for life and mission. Thank you.

Sunday I will begin a series of messages from The Acts of the Apostles, Chapters 1-8:3, titled "Mission 101". The Book of Acts records the mission of Christ’s church to the ends of the earth. These earliest chapters identify the first focal point of that mission, Jerusalem.  We will examine the powerful passages in understanding our first mission field, the one around us at home. Please join me in praying that these will be insightful messages as we serve the mission field down the street.

We will also share the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, Communion, in our services this Sunday. If you are present in the worship center a sterile packet including a wafer and grape juice will be available for our use in celebrating the symbols of Christ’s body and blood. If you are celebrating the Lord’s Supper with your family at home, please use whatever juice or beverage, and bread that is available.  Harriet and I are joyfully anticipating the union of God’s people when gathered around His table.

Our first weeks of congregational reunion have gone quite well. Thank you for being flexible and observant in these first meetings. Our staff is examining several new options based on our past week's experiences. Your continued prayers will be appreciated as we implement the next phases of our re-entry process.

Serving Crossroads Community Church has already been a distinct blessing. Thank you for the privilege.

For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
