Richard OdOm
Senior Pastor
Richard came to Crossroads Community Church as our Senior Pastor from the Screven Baptist Association where he served as the Associational Mission Strategist. Coming from a background in law enforcement, he has been involved in full-time pastoral ministry since 1994 and has served as the Senior Pastor in churches in North Carolina and Alabama.
Richard earned an Associates in Religion from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute and a Bachelor’s in Theology from Covington Theological Seminary. He continued his theological studies by earning a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
His passion in ministry has revolved around discipleship, missions, and evangelism. He has served in various positions with the North Carolina Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Richard is married to an incredible godly woman and loving wife, Joy. They have two daughters, Melissa married to Jason, and Megan married to Zach, and two precious granddaughters, Avery and Ainsley. Together Richard and Joy enjoy spending the day riding their Harley Davidson Road Glide on the backroads of the Lowcountry or spending several days at a time touring parts of this country. Richard’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors.
